Australia Day Honours

We're thankful for the recognition and proud of what our Australia Day award represents.

SUPPORT. TRAINING. EMPLOYMENT.

The Ipswich Australia Day Awards celebrate outstanding achievers and their contribution to the Ipswich community. We were particularly honoured to be nominated by Ipswich Mayor Councillor Paul Pisasale, who was on hand to present the City of Ipswich Medallion to BoysTown.

BoysTown and Ipswich City Council have built a strong and successful partnership working together for many years on innovative enterprises like graffiti removal and park maintenance for the benefit of locals. John Perry (Employment, Education and Training, General Manager) attended the event and accepted on behalf of the team.

Providing employment for local young people as well as looking after the environment creates a stronger and more connected community for everyone.

For more than 50 years, BoysTown has proudly provided safety, compassion, education, understanding and perhaps, most important of all, hope for the future to young Australians. Recently they worked with Lend Lease to create a program that created new jobs working to revegetate Six Mile Creek at Redbank Plains. Ipswich Mayor Councillor Paul Pisasale

It was great to celebrate achievements and we're ready to continue contributing towards a positive future for Ipswich. We're excited about what tomorrow will bring and our innovative programs that deliver great outcomes for young people.
