BoysTown continues to connect with youth
BoysTown will continue to operate a youth engagement program in South East Queensland despite the Federal Government’s decision to discontinue funding beyond this year.
EDUCATION.TRAINING. WORK.
BoysTown has been part of the highly successful Youth Connections program for young people who are disengaged, or at risk of being disengaged, from education since its inception in 2010.
CEO Tracy Adams says BoysTown will use its own funds to implement a youth engagement case management program from January 2015.
We know the program works. Over the past four years, BoysTown's Youth Connections program has supported over 3,500 young people in South East Queensland, with an impressive 80 per cent returning to education or going on to training or employment. Tracy Adams, BoysTown CEO
While the revised program will offer a reduced service compared to the current version, BoysTown is dedicated to providing one-on-one case management for no less than 400 young people per year.
