Brendan wasn’t sure what he wanted to do. Then he started at yourtown. Now he thinks he might be a trainer.
“I did a Certificate I in Construction, and work on one of the yourtown houses as a labourer turned into an apprenticeship with yourtown. I’m now a second year carpentry apprentice learning heaps of other stuff like painting, plastering, concreting, landscaping and that sort of stuff.
I don’t know what I’d be doing if I wasn’t doing this. They give you heaps of help. Help you as much as they can.
Being here for longer and having more experience it’s good to show people things. Maybe I’ll become a trainer.
I’ve learnt a lot more people skills and things like that - being more courteous and just being a better person.”
