We're celebrating our inclusive new name and showcasing our leaders within the organisation...

POSITIVE INFLUENCES

Today it’s UN International Women's Day and we're profiling our leader; CEO, Tracy Adams.

Tracy started with us 26 years ago as a casual working two days a week in fundraising to raise money for our services. Her strong business acumen and passion for transforming young lives and communities was the driving force to become the leader of one of Australia’s largest charitable organisations. Tracy was appointed CEO in 2008.

In her role as Chief Executive Officer, Tracy is responsible and accountable to an independent Board of Directors in delivering services that get results at a local and national level. They include Kids Helpline, training & employment services for young people, parent education and family refuges. These are predominantly funded by the community through our luxury Art Unions.

Tracy is responsible for implementing the organisation's strategic direction and ensuring its operations are conducted with the highest standards of integrity and accountability.

Since being appointed to her current position, she has directed significant company growth, including an operating budget increase of more than $20 million, a client increase of more than 100% and a greatly enhanced advocacy platform for those experiencing social exclusion. Tracy has frequently addressed Government enquiries into the welfare of Australian youth.

yourtown has a diverse team of over 600 staff and volunteers. Our team continues to support tens of thousands of young people and their families each year, by tackling the issues young people face in Australia.

With our work mostly funded by the community, it’s together and by association that we give young people choices. Tracy Adams, yourtown CEO

Tracy has extensive leadership and management experience within the organisation. She is a fellow member of the Australian Institute of Management, a member of Cannon Hill Anglican School Board and a Director of Peakcare Qld Board.

In 2007, Tracy graduated from the Harvard Business School General Management Program.

Tracy lives in Brisbane with her partner Brent and their two children, Adam and Alexandra.
