BoysTown CEO Tracy Adams along with John Perry General Manager for Employment, Education and Training visited Canberra this week to discuss the Federal Government’s draft model for the provision of Employment Services 2015-2020.

TRAINING. SUPPORT. EMPLOYMENT.

This follows a recent appearance by BoysTown representatives at the Senate enquiry into proposed changes to employment support and welfare payments for young people.

Meeting with The Honourable Luke Hartsuyker MP, Assistant Minister for Employment and Deputy Leader of the House and Andrew Laming MP, Tracy Adams welcomed the opportunity to outline BoysTown’s recommended amendments and discuss issues such as the need to maintain standalone specialised employment services for marginalised groups like young people.

As one of the leading providers of youth services in Australia, we would like to see an employment services model that not only supports and enables young people to obtain and maintain employment, but one that also works with employers to meet their needs.  Tracy Adams, CEO
