Easter at Kids Helpline

Easter is a time for loved ones and chocolate if you are lucky, but for many the holiday is a tough time…

WE CARE. WE LISTEN

If everyone else is celebrating with family and you are not it is difficult to know where to turn.

Kids Helpline is there for children and young people 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

We know that family relationships remain the most common concern for young people between 5 and 18 who contact Kids Helpline. Last year more than one in five contacts were with children and young people seeking help about family relationships concerns.

Thanks to the feedback we get from young people we also know that what we do helps.

Where I would usually feel embarrassed, ashamed or insecure about my problems and how big or little they were, or scared of what people may say to my problems, Kids Helpline was a place I knew I could have complete confidence in the knowledge that they would be supportive, and not judge my problems. An outsider's perspective and ideas of what to do or how to deal with various issues is also very helpful. – Kids Helpline client

If kids want to talk to someone they can call Kids Helpline on 1800 55 1800, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week or use email or web counselling services. No issue is too big or small.

They can also visit the Hot Topics section on the Kids Helpline website for advice on a range of issues.
