Young people like Connor*, who took part in one of our social enterprises giving unemployed young people real job skills.

He joined a team maintaining landscaping equipment. He knew nothing about lawn mowers or machinery but was prepared to listen and learn. By the end of his time on the program Connor was able to maintain and repair most equipment. He even rebuilt his own whipper snipper.

Connor became a role model and leader to the rest of the enterprise team. While working with us he saved enough money to buy a car and pay for registration. Even better, he now has a full time job with a commercial landscaping business.

Connor’s story is inspiring and proof that what we do makes a real difference.
