Help us help young people
Australia’s unemployment rate is the highest in 10 years, and it’s easy to understand how many young people might give up trying to find a job.
BOYSTOWN WORKS
What happens to young people after they leave school or become disengaged from education is critical to their quality of life.
In 2011, 16 year old Jasmine walked into our Inala Employment Service office looking for a job. She was struggling at school and longed for full-time work. With BoysTown’s help, she honed her skills, attended workshops and never stopped applying for jobs.
Last year, her persistence paid off. She secured a traineeship, and is now working full-time for The University of Queensland in their Human Resources Department.
The best thing is knowing that you are getting help from people who want to help you. Jasmine
Thanks to your valuable support, BoysTown helped more than 9,000 job seekers last year look for work.
