Yesterday, 28 February 2016, marked an exciting milestone for BoysTown...

MAKING OUR TOWN, YOUR TOWN

BoysTown has changed its name and we're now yourtown!

At yourtown, we believe every young person has the right to a brighter future.

For 56 years, we’ve been tackling the issues impacting young people in Australia. We tackle issues like youth unemployment and mental health; and we take on issues like family and domestic violence.

Over the past 7 years, we have refreshed and updated our brand but have found that we’re still asked on a regular basis if we work with girls. As an inclusive organisation, we need to make sure there are no impediments to young people accessing our services.

We aim to be part of the solution by delivering programs that get results and offer these at a local and national level. They include Kids Helpline, training and employment services for young people, parent education and family refuges.

We work with young people to find jobs, learn skills, become great parents and live safe, happy lives.

One thing that isn’t changing is our charitable Art Union – the primary source of income for many of our services. The yourtown Art Union is a great chance to win and guaranteed support for young people and families.

We’ve already received great feedback on our new name and we hope that our new identity will not only encourage our current supporters to stay with us, but also attract new supporters too. Our supporters give young people choices, support and someone to listen.

As we start on this exciting journey, I hope you will join us to create brighter futures for children and young people. Together, we can make change happen.
