A helping hand for the RSPCA

BoysTown employees picked up their tools for abandoned and injured animals at the RSPCA last week.

TRAINING. SUPPORT. EMPLOYMENT.

A team of BoysTown social enterprise employees from the Yarrabilba project participated in a Community Day at the RSPCA Wacol Animal Care Campus.

More than 41,000 abused, abandoned or injured animals come to RSPCA Queensland needing care every year. But thanks to the work of the RSPCA, more than 20,000 animals get a second chance at a happy home.

Alistair Coleman said the BoysTown Enterprise employees, who were invited to join Lend Lease at the RSPCA Community Day, were happy to be part of such a worthwhile project.

Our employees were able to use the skills they have gained as part of their work on the Yarrabilba building project, as they spent the day constructing concrete pathways around the animal yards. Alistair Coleman, National Construction Manager
