Kids Helpline gets thumbs up
Kids Helpline is committed to giving young people the very best service. To help us do that we asked young people what they think of us.
HELP. COUNSELLING. SUPPORT.
Children and young people have given us their feedback about our service via an annual survey and it is very positive.
Responses were received from 635 children and young people and the findings show:
- 91.4% agreed that they would recommend Kids Helpline to a friend.
- 3 out of 4 (74%) of the 588 who had accessed counselling had more ideas for dealing with their problems after speaking with Kids Helpline.
- 2 out of 3 (65%) felt more capable of dealing with their problems after speaking with Kids Helpline.
I love how you can just call for free, anonymously and talk about your problems and that you can trust the person you’re talking to and know that you’re getting good and reliable advice on how to deal with your problem. I also love that there's so much helpful information on certain situations on this website. It’s helped me a lot. Thank you so much! – Young person.
We are a child-centred service which means listening to and respecting what children and young people have to say. We will use this feedback to keep improving our service and giving children and young people the very best counselling and support possible.
If young people want to talk to someone they can call Kids Helpline on 1800 55 1800, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week or use email or web counselling services. No issue is too big or small.
