BoysTown training graduates celebrate
New graduates of BoysTown’s Community Learning Program (CLP) aged and community care training received certificates and congratulations last week.
EDUCATION. TRAINING. WORK.
CLP, launched last year, provides accredited Certificate II and III level training for unemployed people in South East Queensland.
Recent graduates celebrated their achievements at BoysTown’s Logan campus last week. Some have already found employment. Like Kyla, who is excited to be employed as an assistant in nursing.
BoysTown not only supported us in the classroom and financially but emotionally as well. I can tell you from my experience there were some trying times. The BoysTown staff provided me with the tools to keep going. I know without this support things could have been a lot different. Kyla.
BoysTown were able to provide Kyla with a wrap-around service. She was able to access education and training through the Community Learning Program. This then linked into our Employment Service which provides young people with ongoing support in finding employment.
These programs are some of the many ways BoysTown is helping job seekers to overcome the challenges of unemployment.
