Helping more kids this year!
Kids Helpline @ School is helping growing minds at a growing rate…
MORE HELP FOR MORE KIDS
The winding path of childhood brings many challenges and we’re helping ease the way for 29% more* kids this year – thanks to growing popularity of the Kids Helpline @ School (KAS) program.
Being a kid isn't easy…
Looking back, being a kid should be a simple and delightful experience. But from a kid’s perspective, the challenges of responsibility, friendship, learning and independence are very real. The way we act now to educate, support and encourage kids makes a big difference to the way they relate and react in their future. This is exactly why Kids Helpline (a service of yourtown) developed the KAS program.
Qualified support for kids…
Kids Helpline counsellors understand the challenges some primary school aged children may face. With the help of virtual technology like Skype, KAS is helping bring conversations to the classroom about real issues. Our counsellors are rightly proud to be helping more kids this year because it means more children understand the importance of respect, emotions, safety and resilience. Ultimately, it means more of the next generation will have better skills to manage their challenges, including:
- Cyberbullying & Bullying
- Online Safety
- Coping with Change
- Developing Resilience
- Friendship
- Peer Pressure
- Help Seeking
Teachers benefit from this program too!
If you know a primary school teacher, they’ll thank you for letting them know about the KAS program. 96% of teachers we surveyed said they would recommend the program to other teachers and schools. We also make sure this doesn't add to teacher stress – with an easy booking process and help to test the technology before sessions. Teachers also benefit because their classroom kids are better informed and equipped to manage their emotions. Everybody wins!
