Teaming Up With Brisbane's 97.3FM To Make A Difference!

At yourtown, we work hard to create brighter futures every single day!

We recently teamed up with Brisbane radio station 97.3FM to brighten the future of a deserving community group.

The Breakfast crew, Bianca, Terry and Bob, put out the call for community groups who needed help to complete a project that would really make a difference to those who use it.

PeachTree Perinatal Wellness, a local group who help new mums struggling with perinatal mental health issues, won the opportunity to bring their project to life!

The service desperately needed a child friendly outdoor space for mums, dads and kids to come together.

yourtown's Enterprise Team turned a dusty, uninspiring backyard into a welcoming playground and outdoor area.

As part of our Enterprise programs, young people are provided with paid work experience and the chance to learn practical skills and appropriate workplace behaviours in a real work environment.

In this project, the Enterprise team learnt all about paving, gardening and fencing skills.

Michael had previously been looking for work for three years, but with yourtown’s help in securing permanent employment, he hopes to change that.

Enterprise trainer Matt said “Over this project it’s been great to see our young people’s confidence grow, and they can take that into the work force.”

As for PeachTree Perinatal Wellness – they were delighted with the end results! See for yourself below…
