We are changing our name

By: yourtown 21 Jan 2016 yourtown Organisation News

2016 is going to be a year of change and growth, both for the young people we work with and for BoysTown.

CREATING BRIGHTER FUTURES

For us, that change will be in the form of a new name and look.

Much about our organisation has changed since we started in 1961. The services we deliver, the help we offer, and the way we interact with the community have all evolved. We feel the time is right to move to a name and image which better reflects the inclusive nature of our work - after all we don't just work with boys…

With programs and services at both a national and local level, we're there for children and young people from every street, every suburb, every community and every town across the country.

Whilst we are changing our name and image, we remain 100% focused on tackling the issues that impact their lives. We aim to achieve real 'change' for those who turn to us - helping them find jobs, learn skills, become great parents and importantly, live safe and happy lives.

We'll be sharing more about our name change in the coming weeks!

Together, we can make change happen. Tracy Adams, BoysTown CEO

One thing that isn’t changing is our charitable art union – the primary source of income for many of our programs and services. The BoysTown art union is a possible win for some, but also a guaranteed support for young people on their pathway to a brighter future.

Our work wouldn’t be possible without the continued interest of all our generous supporters. Thank you.
